reetings of the season! We have been so spoiled here, with our spring-like weather, that it hardly feels like Christmas is just around the corner. But the houses are starting to light up and the stores are getting busy. Before you know it, there'll be a brightly decorated tree in our living room! The boys have their wish lists memorized and haven't made any changes lately, so I guess it's safe for me to start my shopping.

What have we been up to? Work, Cubs, hockey, swimming lessons … the usual. Back in September, I asked that they schedule me for more day shifts at work since both boys now stay at school for lunch. Not only were they able to do that, but recently they've asked me to give up two cash shifts to work out back on the computer. I'm doing price changes, editing and printing the flyer talkers and that sort of fun stuff.

Dave is very busy once again, now that hockey and Cubs are back on track. He's still the treasurer for the Shearwater Hockey Association as well as the Akela for Justin's Cub pack. He spends a lot of time setting up Cub Camps and planning weekly meetings. "Free time" just doesn't seem to be in his vocabulary anymore. He still works shift work, one week on nights, one week on days. No one has mentioned him going to sea, and we're not asking.

We'll be thinking of you all during this holiday season!
